Applications submitted without a resume/CV and letter of recommendation or outside the application period above will not be considered for the spring 2024-2025 virtual class.

Applicants will be notified by February 15, 2024, if they have been accepted into the program. A maximum of 30 applicants will be accepted into this class.

Mentee Qualifications

To qualify for participation in the program, applicants should either:

  • have two years or less experience as an ASC administrator, or
  • currently work in an ASC and be interested in becoming an ASC administrator.

Please note: The program is intended for new or prospective administrators; it is not designed to be prep for the CASC exam.

Program Expectations

All mentees must agree to the following:

  • Attend the Virtual Meet and Greet in March
  • Watch monthly recorded content to complete the corresponding assignment(s)
  • Attend quarterly calls with fellow mentees
  • Commit to an average of 2–3 hours each month, including:
    • 60- to 75-minute check-ins via conference call with the assigned mentor to review the current month’s assignment and discuss the next month’s assignment. (It is recommended for this discussion to be via video, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc. Other as-needed calls can be done either by video or phone.)
    • Complete all assignments in the program as outlined in the next section.

Mentees must commit to completing at least 80% of the assigned work (calls and assignments) in order to successfully complete the program.

Assignments

Mentees will be expected to complete 11 assignments throughout the program year. Mentees will watch recorded content each month, then complete an assignment based on that content. The assignments will be provided to each mentor so that all mentees have the same assignments. Watching the recorded content plus completing the monthly assignment should take approximately 1–2 hours to complete.
